An Empirical Analysis On Mobile Phone Dependence And It's Influence Of College Students' Values

Objective: To investigate the status quo of College Students' mobile phone depe ndence and their values,and,to explore the impact of mobile phone dependence on College Students' values,as well as the specific performance and degree of mobile phone dependence on College Students' values.Methods: 489 college students were selected as subjects,using questionnaire: Mo bile Phone Use Habits Questionnaire and Mobile Phone Addiction Index(MPAI)t o measure and evaluate the current situation of College Students' mobile phone d ependence.In the other hand,using Schwartz Value Survey(SVS),and Allport's The Study of Values(SOV),to directly and indirectly measure the values of Coll ege Students.Besides,analyzed the impact of mobile phone dependence on Colle ge Students' values,and the relationship between them.Results: The detection rate of college students mobile phone addiction is 17.1%.There are significant differences in the scores of four dimensions: self transcende nce,self improvement,conservative and open attitude between the mobile phone addiction and non mobile phone addiction college students,P<0.01,also significan t differences in the scores of two kinds of values of aesthetic(P<0.05)and relig ious(P<0.01).College Students' mobile phone dependence,is negatively correlated to the score of self transcendence(r=-0.170,P<0.01),conservative(r=-0.127,P<0.01),social type(r=-0.171,P<0.01),aesthetic(r=-0.91,P<0.05),and positively corr elated to the score of religious(r=0.193,P<0.01).Conclusion: The mobile phone dependence have a significant impact on the part of college students values;With the deepening of mobile phone dependence,so me values have also changed.
