Mindfulness is usually defined to bringing one’s complete attention to the experiences occurring in the present moment,in an on judgmental or accepting way.Descriptions of mindfulness and methods for cultivating it originate in eastern spiritual traditions,which suggest that mindfulness can be developed through the regular practice of meditation,and that increases in positive qualities such as awareness,insight,wisdom,and compassion are likely to result.There are three typical symptoms of mobile phone dependence.One is always thinking about mobile phones.The other is that although the economic cost will gradually increase,the time spent on mobile phones is still increasing.The third is you will feel anxious when you can not use your phone,you can not control yourself to stop using your phone,you are no longer interested in things that used to interest you,you just want to play with your phone.And people are in a state of non-mindfulness when using mobile phones,so we think that improving mindfulness level through mindfulness training can effectively reduce the individual’s mobile phone dependency level.So this article designed two studies to explore the relationship between mindfulness and mobile phone dependence.The first study is to understand the current level of mindfulness and mobile phone dependence of college students.The second study is to verify whether mindfulness group training is effective in improving the level of mindfulness and reducing the dependence of mobile phones,and whether this effect can persist for a long time.Study 1 used questionnaires to study the current level of mindfulness and mobile phone dependence of college students,and in the process of issuing the questionnaire,the recruitment activities of the participants were carried out.The recruitment activity of the trial is planned to recruit 40 people.Research shows the higher the level of mindfulness,the lower the degree of mobile phone dependence r =-0.54(p <.01),which is consistent with the predicted result;the proportion of mobile phone dependence is 23.87%Study 2 used pre-and post-test intervention studies to test whether the group of mindfulness training can improve the level of mindfulness,whether it can alleviate the mobile phone dependence of college students,and whether the group training of mindfulness has long-term effects.The research results show that after eight mindfulness group training,the experimental group and the waiting group have significant differences on the mobile phone total score(t = 3.36,p <.001),the total mindfulness score(t = 2.07,p <.001),and the mobile phone Using time(t = 3.26,p <.01),which shows that mindfulness training can improve the the participants’ mindfulness level and reduce the mobile phone dependence;but follow-up tests have shown that changes in mindfulness and cell phone dependency levels obtained through mindfulness group training cannot be sustained.
