Research On The Application Of Sustainable Design Theory In Exhibition Space

Today,with the rapid development of economy,most of the designs are for the consumption production,which is closely linked with economic benefits.The speed of economic growth stimulates the rapid consumption of natural resources,causing the deterioration of the environment and the waste of resources,and thus results in a series of environmental problems which break the balance of natural ecology.Increasingly serious environmental problems and ecological problems have attracted widespread attention of mankind.As serving to the society,the design community has also paid more and more attention to the environmental problems caused by design activities.Thus,a series of design ideas and concepts,such as green design,ecological design,and so on,are proposed to protect the environment.The exhibition industry is the product of economic development.Its high development speed and high energy consumption have caused tremendous waste of resources.It is not accord with the concept of sustainable development advocated in today's society,neither in conserving resources nor in protecting environment."The sustainable development concept" is the concept advocated by today's social development,and promotes our reflections on the environmental problems.Sustainable design is the extension of the concept of "sustainable development" in the design discipline.It can be used as a kind of thought and method to solve the balanced development of economy,society and environment.The application of this idea and method to the exhibition space design will be of great significance in dealing with the problems including the destruction of natural environment and resources,as well as the excessive resource consumption.Based on the concept of sustainable development,the method to apply the sustainable design in exhibition space design is discussed through researching on the sustainable design theory and method in this dissertation.With which,one is able to create a better atmosphere,convey more information and create more social benefits with fewer resources,so that it can become the design which meets the needs of social development.First of all,both domestic and overseas situations of the sustainable design and the sustainable development research on exhibition space design are analyzed in this paper,the issues and methods of the exhibition space sustainable design are discussed.Afterwards,from the view of sustainable development perspective of sustainable design concept,the connotation and development way as well as the circulation pattern of sustainable design cycle are analyzed,thus the exhibition space sustainable design concept and methods are inquired?Furthermore,the various factors on the exhibition space design are deeply understood and researched,including the main structure,the basic elements and the principle and pattern of the exhibition space design and so on.From which,the exhibition space design of sustainable development problems are found.From the viewpoint of energy reduction and reuse of the exhibition space and structure,the design of exhibition space in the way of sustainable development is discussed,combined with the strategy of immaterial design and demountable modular design for sustainable design theory.Finally,take the education exhibition as an example,the concepts and methods of sustainable design are applied to education exhibition space design,more sustainable design methods for the needs of social development in the exhibition space can be explored.
