| Process genre approach is a writing teaching method that regards English as a second language,which emphasizes communication,focuses on genre and highlights negotiation.Process genre approach synthesizes the advantages of process approach,genre approach and product approach.Writing is the weakness of local Chinese learners in Indonesia,which is not only reflected in the Chinese language itself,but also in other writing related abilities.From the teachers’ point of view,there are a lot of issues such as boring atmosphere of the classroom and inactive students,and sometimes teachers even do not know how to arrange teaching contents.After 8 weeks of writing teaching practice with process genre approach in Universitas Bunda Mulia in Indonesia,the paper is mainly about the classroom teaching design combined with the local teaching situation and student characteristics based on the teaching method.It explained the teaching effects and found out that process genre approach could help to improve teaching and students’ writing level,and some practical problems in writing teaching before were also greatly improved.It is hoped that this paper will enrich the research on the teaching method of Chinese international education writing.The whole paper was divided into six parts,and the specific content is as follows:Part I:Introduction.It included the purpose of writing,the meaning and objectives of research,research methods as well as process genre approach related literature review and the study.It pointed out some research results and the research framework of this paper.Part II:Process genre approach and its main ideas.It introduced the basic theory and classroom teaching mode of process genre approach,and the main characteristics of the teaching theory.Part III:An Analysis of Chinese writing in Indonesia(before the implementation of process genre approach).This part investigated the situation of Chinese writing in Indonesia by collecting students’ opinions and interviewing the head of the Chinese department of the university.Besides,it also analyzed and summarized the existing problems.Part IV:The implementation of process genre approach in teaching Chinese writing in Indonesia.It elaborated the teaching process and design points of the teaching scheme designed according to process genre approach.And a set of classroom teaching program was shown as a complete example of the textbook.Part V:Teaching effect of process genre approach.It showed the effect of process genre approach from the subjective evaluation of teachers and students as well as student practice.Part VI:Conclusion.It indicated that process genre approach had good application effects and pointed out that the teaching design was a flexible application of the approach.There were innovations in dealing with the template,editing and so on,which is quite targeted.In addition,it put forward problems in the implementation of process genre approach. |
