Although contemporary woodblock printing creation presents abundant features, and its expression techniques are also flexible and diverse, its creation experience relies heavily on imaging data and is short of intuitive experience and lively feeling of blending into the real world. Therefore, those created works are void of some deserved artistic appeal, and leave impressions of mechanization and conceptualization to people. By combination with the project of "Locating grass roots-To central Shaanxi plain" from the printing department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts",in this paper,we go deep into social life and walk into the scene to have local sketching experience in a waste nitrogenous fertilizer factory in Fengxiang with industrial civilization heritage of great historical significance. We take a positive intervention into social scene, and make specific analysis and association of the old factory ruins; then we can keep deepening our knowledge in creative practice, and develop our creation thought, so that individual experience and historical memory can be well fused.Finally, the series works of Windy Impression are completed. The method of actively intervening into scene with creation behaviors can achieve our recognition towards contemporary woodblock printing creation.After summary of creative practice, the contents will be stated upon the creation process and time schedule, and woodblock printing creation will be recognized from three stages: Firstly,through closely contact with the scene, we extract materials from the field by ourselves, and connect with life memory by combination with our own life experience, so as to rediscover the old factory sculptured by time; we are aware that those rusty pipelines, those empty workshops without doors and windows, and the living traces left by workers, all these are telling the stories about the factory to visitors,and leave extremely profound filed experience to people. Secondly, the old factory will be integrated with new agricultural production to reveal the sense of time by mixing with different graphic elements; the woodcut is created upon the cognition and association of field experience, and different forms in creation process also have been explored; definitely, the creating techniques of woodblock printing and block producing process have been recognized again. Thirdly, the work returns to the social field, to expect the responses from social reality. Then, such recognition can develop with ductility and innovativeness, and it is the process about artistic feedback and interaction. Moreover, the work can be permeated into the more extensive social reality. We will listen to people's opinions on creations through field display and interview, so that the work can bring more extensive social influence.
