The development of watermark wood carving has a long history.Modern woodblock prints began to rise in the 1950s,and its development was affected by various factors such as different times,regions,social backgrounds and scientific and technological development.The modern woodblock print forms and printing techniques are more diversified and variousIn the first chapter,the author divides the development of modern woodblock prints into three stages:the origin of modern woodblock prints in the 1950s and 1960s,the prosperity of modern woodblock prints in the 1980s and the development of contemporary woodblock prints.In the second chapter,the author analyzes the works of representative artists of modern woodblock prints.Through the above research,the author finds that there is basically a stylized repetition in the production of such woodblock prints,which has the advantage of better work completion and better restoration of the painting.However,for the development of woodblock prints,the author wants to further explore how to add an expression of uncontrollability and improvisation in the process of making woodblock prints,so that the media material of woodblock prints can give full play to its uncontrollable artistic beauty.In the third part of the article,the author discusses the factors that influence the performance of painting in the printing process.The artistic aesthetic feeling of watermark wood carving not only needs presupposition but also needs to give play to its autonomy in the production process.The author describes and analyzes her own exploration of watermark wood carving,including her attempts to improve and reform materials and printing methods.In the end the author has carried on the classification and the summary to the research.
