The "Duality" Adjustment Of Believers' Identity Of "Spreading" Christianity

There is a long-time popularity of "Christ heat" appeared in China. It also manifests a large number of new styles during the course of Christianity "spreading". The number of believers is also increasing. This phenomenon has caused wide attention of scholars. But,the previous researches in this field attach little importance on the relationships between religious status and the way of believers' Christianity "spreading". This paper deeply carries out a comparative study on Christian believers who acted as propagators from the perspective of group and individual, digging believers' adaptation and identity construction process throughout their missionary process.First of all,it is the start-up phase of the identity of Christianity "spreading". In this part,the article analyzes the progressive construction mechanism of believers' identity when"spreading" Christianity. Before carrying out "spreading" Christianity,Christians have potential groups of receivers of missionary work. Being guided by preachers and positioned by themselves and according to the consensus of the "miracle" and the internalization of Christian doctrine, other believers are prompted to systematically activate their "spreading"Christianity identity. In addition, according to some smaller-scale group gatherings believers learn the perceptions of Christianity "spreading" together and widely which can lead them to reach a consensus. The specific identity of the individual members--religious actors-- will be an intrinsic identification process for themselves about the social identity, but not a passive acceptance. Moreover, the process is not a momentary action but "a continuous approach and the internalization of the pilgrim's progress."Finally,the self-reflection of "spreading" Christianity identity is illustrated. Believers,"Spreading" Christianity activity is the process of mediating individuals and groups to balance and harmony. Facing the unsmooth and frustrated process during Christianity spreading,believers, retreat in missionary can be rationalization by the "weakness" and the achievements in missionary can be beautified by "gifts". In the process of "spreading"Christianity, the disability of individuals can be rationalization by God (Group); and individuals' prominent point can add to the divine (Group) glory. The interaction and complement of individual and group makes the identity of "Spreading" Christianity enhanced,and it carries out the reflective reconstruction and the "duality" identity in the missionary.
