Chinese quantifiers can be divided into noun quantifier and verbal measure word.The verbal measure words also can be divided into special verbal measure words and borrowed verbal measure words.Based on general TCSL textbooks,Chinese character outline and grammatical syllabus,we decided to analysis ten special verbal measure words.They are ci,hui,tang,bian,dun,fan,tong,chang,zhen,xia.Borrowed verbal measure words have four categories:borrowed noun(tool noun,human organ,time noun,noun express adjoint result);borrowed verb(such as tiao and jing);borrowed the after morpheme in separable word and borrowed verb reduplication.The verbal measure words are appeared from Wei,Jin and the southern and northern dynasties.It appeared late in time and less than noun quantifier in quantity.The research before mainly aimed at noun quantifiers but few about verbal measure words.This article will benefit for the ontological study of Chinese verbal measure words by doing delicately research on the semantic features and the combinatorial constructions of the verbal measure words.Quantifier is one of the most characteristic parts of speech in Chinese.For foreign students,verbal measure words using is difficult and it is also a teaching difficult in TCSL,Take 46 foreign students of CICE,CCNU who have different Chinese levels for example,and this article make a survey and the result says as follows:First,the students have a tendency of using "ci" and "bian" when they choose special verbal measure words;There is confusion among the use of "ci","hui" and "bian";The students are difficult to master the semantic of "tong" and "fan",either their collocation with verbs and numerals;The difficult points also existed in semantic discrimination between "zhen" and"chang","xia"(express times)and "xia"(express short time and abidance).Second,the students are easily make mistakes in the using of the noun "cheng" "bu""sheng," "quan" which are express adjoint result,the borrowed verb "jing","tiao" and the borrowed verb reduplication.The last,combined with our daily teaching experience,we make some teaching suggestions by summarizing the errors which are made during the process of verbal measure words acquisition.They are context teaching,plate teaching and body language teaching and so on.We expect this can be a practical reference for verbal measure words teaching in TCSL...
