Research On Interpretation Of Special-purpose Verbal Measure Words In Picture Dictionary Of Chinese Measure Word

Dictionary research is an important part in the field of teaching Chinese as a second language.The interpretation of entries is the key to dictionary research.As a dictionary for Chinese quantifier learning,Picture Dictionary of Chinese Measure Words can be used as a reference for quantifier teaching.The quantifier interpretation of the dictionary is of certain research value.Compared with other quantifiers,special-purpose verbal measure word is a relatively abstract type of quantifiers,which is a difficult point of teaching Chinese as a second language.If a dictionary can explain the special-purpose verbal measure words well,it can help the learners to reduce the bias of such quantifiers and promote the teaching.We take the interpretation of special-purpose verbal measure words in Picture Dictionary of Chinese Measure Words as the research focus and compare the information items and the interpretation methods used in the same type of dictionary,referring the principles of interpreting Chinese learning dictionary.It is found that improvement is needed on the interpretation of the special-purpose verbal measure words in Chinese quantifiers learning dictionaries.We should add the outline of ranking of Chinese lexical,arrange the order of assigned examples,enrich grammatical information,use scientific interpretation methods and take the bias of the international students into account.Through connecting the teaching practice,we collect the feedbacks of the questionnaire of international students,summary the feedbacks of graphic interpretation of the special-purpose verbal measure words in the dictionary,and finally provide suggestions on how to complete the language information and play the best effect of the combination of graphic and text in the dictionary.
