A Study On Wu Minshu's Poetry Theory

Wu Minshu is not only a fruitful writer,but also an influential literary theorist in the history of modern literary.he was unimpressed by fame and wealth,and had no intention to be drawn into official career.But he indulged in landscape and poetry.Wu Minshu's poetry theory include creation theory,ontology,literary axiology and literary criticism.but the most innovative part is creation theory.From the aspect of subject and object of literary creation,Wu Minshu analysed literary creation should include "morality" "talent" "learning" and "nature" "things" "emotion" factors.In the literary ontology,Wu Minshu thought that literary work is based on words.He realized that literature is the art of language.In addition,he agreed that the essence of poetry was to present intention.Wu Minshu's discussion on literary axiology mainly focuses on two aspects: social value and aesthetic value.Wu Minshu thought that literary criticism is to reveal the beauty and inadequacy of literary works,and the literary criticism should take predecessors as a standard.Wu Minshu's literary creation laid the foundation for the formation of his poetry theory and responded to his poetry theory.The content of Wu Minshu's poems center on the scenery and outing and social reality.His prose is famous for narrative and scenery prose,whose style are mainly simple,elegant and casual.Wu Minshu's poetry theory mainly affected by Practical Statecraft Thought and the Tongcheng school,his works have a profound sense of urgency.
