Possessing greater stability of attention,working memory and learning effeciency help us get more knowledge and message.Therefore,much attention has been paid to how to enhance college students' stability of attention,memory andlearningefficiency.In recent years,an array of psychogists and education experts leading by Lozanov have discovered that peoples' attention,memory and learning effeciency can be promoted by soothing background music around 60-70 beats per minute.Based on this background,this study examined the differences of college students' stability of attention,working memory capacity and learning effeciency in different kinds of background music.This study also researched the realationship among stability of attention,working memory capacity and learning effeciency.There are 3 parts in this research.In experiment 1,the differences of stability of attention in different kinds of background music was studied by the Psykey psychological measurement system.In experiment 2,the differences of working memory capacity in different kinds of background music was studied by the Psykey psychological measurement system.In experiment three,the differences of Chinese and English learning effeciency in different kinds of music was studied by E-prime experimental generation system.Combining with all three research results,we have known as follows:(1)Soothing background music has a tendency to enhance the attention stability of college students and passionate background music has a tendency to interference the attention stability of college students.(2)Soothing background music has no remarkable forward influence to the working memory of college students and passionate background music has has a tendency to interference the working memory capacity of college students.(3)Soothing background music has the remarkable forward influence in English learning effeciency compared with passionate background music,but has no remarkable forward influence compared with no-background music.English learning efficiency could be interfered distinctly by passionate background music.(4)Soothing background music has the remarkable forward influence in Chinese learning effeciency compared with passionate background music,but has no remarkable forward influence compared with nobackground music.Chinese learning efficiency could be interfered distinctly by passionate background music.(5)There are significant positive correlations between the stability of attention and the working memory capacity,between the stability of attention and the English and Chinese learning efficiency,between the working memory capacity and the English and Chinese learning efficiency.(6)There was a mediating effect of working memory capacity between stability of attention and English learning efficiency.There was a mediating effect of working memory capacity between stability of attention and Chinese learning efficiency.Research finally point out that studies of music affects cognitive and learning are not matured enough,we should not blindly enhance our learning efficiency by music.
