In the modified model of cognitive load structure,causal factors add new physical learning environment,that is,all physical attributes of the place where learning takes place,including physical characteristics of the learning material or background,such as color,smell,shape and sound.There are some neurons in the cerebral cortex,whose neural activity continues to discharge after the disappearance of sensory information,which is considered as the related activity of memory maintenance.Sensory information of different senses participating in memory activity can be used as an effective clue extraction.Previous studies have shown that different types of music have different effects on memory,and different background tones of memory materials have different effects on memory.Transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)and transcranial direct current stimulation(IDCS)further confirmed the causal role of sensory activity in working memory.Therefore,this study explores the influence of music type and background tone of memorizing materials on vocabulary memory.In this study,the physical characteristics of two learning environments,namely music introduction and material color memorization,were used to study the effects of music type and material background color on the vocabulary memory of middle school students by taking middle school students as the research object and different types of music and material background tone as experimental materials according to the classical successive memory paradigm.Objective: to explore the effects of physical attributes of learning environment(music,background tone)on vocabulary memory of middle school students.Methods: three experiments were designed.Experiment 1 verified the promotion effect of Mozart's music as a music attribute on the vocabulary memory of middle school students.Mixed experiment design 2(music type: Mozart's music,classroom environment simulation music)2(subject category: music preference,no music preference)was designed.Under the condition of music introduction of Mozart music and classroom environment simulation music(similar to the control group of learning environment),the recall amount of vocabulary of the subjects was tested respectively,and statistical analysis was conducted.Experiment 2 verified thehindrance of popular music as a music attribute on the vocabulary memory of middle school students.The level of music type variable was popular music and the simulated music in the classroom environment.In experiment 3,the influence of background tone and music type on vocabulary memory was also discussed,and a mixed experimental design of design 2(cool color and warm tone)2(Mozart music and environmental music)was designed.Results :(1)The main effect of music type was significant F(1,78)=5.92,P<0.05,the main effect of music preference was not significant(P<0.05).(2)The interaction between music type and music preference was significant,F(1,78)=5.35,P<0.05.(3)The main effect of background tone was significant,F(1,57)=69.38,P<0.05,and the interaction between background tone and music type was significant,F(1,57)=7.39,P<0.05.Conclusion and significance :(1)In terms of music type,Mozart music can promote vocabulary memory of middle school students.The advantage of music preference in the level of vocabulary memory is scene.Under the condition of popular music,music preference hinders the memory effect.The interaction between music type and subjects' music preference on vocabulary recall was significant,but there was no music preference.The recall rate of Mozart music is higher than that of environmental music.There was no significant difference between music preference and music preference in the recall rate of subjects under the condition of environmental music.(2)As for the background tone of the memory material,the memory performance under the condition of warm tone is more conducive to the memory level of middle school students than that under the condition of cold tone.(3)Background tone interacted with music type in terms of its influence on memory extraction.Under the condition of Mozart music,the memory level of warm tone(such as yellow)background was significantly higher than that of cold tone(such as blue).Words has nothing to do in order to control the Mozart effect and interference effect for the participants,this study in the first two experiments respectively discuss music for the promotion of middle school students' vocabulary memory function and effect,and then re-use sound and color inspection auditory and visual information in memory for vocabulary,comprehensive discussed the background color of two types of music and materials physical environment influences on vocabulary retention.
