Stability is the important quality of attention, which ensures all tasks efficiently completed. Predecessors have carried out a lot of studies about the stability of attention, but few of which involve undergraduate students, this research will aim to fill the gap. Researching the characteristics and influencing factors of attention stability has some theoretical and practical significance on how to cultivate and improve it.This study used questionnaire method and experimental method to carry on the research. The effect factors on the stability of attention were discussed. These factors include self-control of learning, interference, emotion stability and emotion state.By using descriptive statistics, t-test, variance analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and other methods of data processing, come to the main results as fellows:(1) With the increase of grade, the tendency of self-control enhance significantly, while self-control strategies and attention stability of learning decrease significantly and respectively. There is a significantly positive correlation between the factors of self-control learning and the attention stability of learning and the former can predict the latter significantly.(2) Attention stability of female students is significantly higher than that of male students. The attention stability of high self-control learning students was higher than that of students in medium and low self-control learning.(3) By describing some kinds of emotional memories of events, the appropriate emotion can be evoked. Emotion impacts on the stability of attention: the attention stability of sad group was more stable than that of happy and relaxed group; the attention of subjects with instable emotion was significantly higher than that with stable emotion in sad mood.(4) Attention stability of subjects with instable emotion was more easily interfered. Visual stimuli interference significantly affected the stability of visual attention, while the interference of auditory stimuli insignificantly.
