Class lead-in,as the opening of a lesson,is the starting point of effective teaching.There are a lot of research on class lead-in in every subjects,but the importance and the practical application of lead-in still fail to get enough attention.So this paper explore five common methods of lead-in by using literature review,classroom observation methodology and practice exploration methodology.This paper shows the relevant theories of lead-in,including the basic conceptions,the main function and the application principles of lead-in.Based on these relevant theories,this paper classify five methods of lead-in which are effective and widely used,and to combine with some teaching cases in order to explore the concrete application of these five methods in teaching Chinese to foreigners of other languages.In order to discuss these methods'application in teaching Chinese,this paper specific to the teaching of pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar,hoping to give inspire to the design of class lead-in.Through this study,the researcher draw these conclusion:Class lead-in plays a important role in making classroom teaching process orderly,the teacher of teaching Chinese to foreigners of other languages should choose efficient lead-in methods to stimulate students' interest in learning.These five widely used methods of lead-in has it's own characteristics and applicable scopes,the teacher of teaching Chinese to foreigners of other languages should choose different methods according to different teaching content to apply class lead-in.
