The lead-in section is the beginning of English classroom teaching.It is the primary link in the classroom teaching process and plays an important role to the whole teaching.Carefully designed classroom lead-in can not only create a relaxed and pleasant learning atmosphere for students,stimulate students' interest in learning,and further arouse internal learning motivation of students.It can also build a bridge between the old knowledge that exists in students' mind and the new knowledge,improve the efficiency of the whole class,prepare for the success of the whole class,and lay a good foundation for the entire English teaching.The study selected the Z Primary School in Nanchang as a case,the literature method,observation method,interview method,and questionnaire method were comprehensively used to investigate the lead-in of English classroom teaching in elementary schools.Combined with a large amount of literature and books about classroom lead-in section,the author developed a English class lead-in observation table,observed through actual teaching classroom lectures and recorded relevant data in detail,and conducted in-depth research and analysis of experimental data.In order to further understand the current status of the lead-in section of English classroom teaching,the author interviewed five teachers from the Z Primary School in Nanchang,and conducted relevant questionnaires on 100 students to further improve the conclusions obtained.Based on the analysis of the survey results,the author analyzes the problems existing in the English classroom lead-in from the aspects of lead-in time,the lead-in subject,the lead-in effect,and the lead-in method.They are improper lead-in time control and insufficient reflection of the student's subjectivity,the poor lead-in effect,and the single form of the lead-in method.And analyze the reasons for the problems,including the insufficient attention paid by teachers to the time control of classroom lead-in,the neglect of students 'dominant position in English class lead-in,the failure to fully consider the impact of English class lead-in on learning and teaching effects,the lack of in-depth exploration of the lead-in method theory and practice,and the lack of skills training.In view of the above problems and reasons,the author puts forward suggestions and countermeasures to improve the English class lead-in in primary schools,that is,to reasonably arrange the teaching process and effectively control the time of English class lead-in,to attach importance to the main position of student,and strengthen the interaction between teachers and students in the lead-in section.To pay attention to the learning effect of students and the teaching effect of teachers,to effectively improve the efficiency of the English lead-in and flexible use of multiple lead-in methods,and strengthen the rich lead-in form of relevant skills training.The concluding part of the thesis also elaborates the limitations of this research and the outlook for future research.
