Study On The Changes Of Dao Xian Town

Daoxian county,located in the southern of Yongzhou city,Hunan Province,is the economic and cultural center of the six counties in Yongzhou city.Along with Henzhou city,Quzhou city and Chenzhou city,Daoxian county once named Daozhou city was the four famous cities in southern Hunan province.During it’s long history,People in Daoxian county built splendid culture after getting through hardship.But the economy and transportation were not well developed until the end of 1940 s because people were still under control of feudalism.People were liberated after the communist establishing new China.Striving with concerted efforts,Great changes took place in Daoxian county.Meanwhile,some problems are more and more strict with the rapid growth of city construction.Based on this situation,the purpose of this research is to provide some references for the development of Daoxian county by learning the track of Daoxian county’s development and summarizing some lessons from it’s history.At the very beginning,Daoxian county was set as Yingpu county in Qin dynasty.It was changed into Yingdao county at the fourth year of emperor Tang Wude(in year 621),then Daozhou city at the eighth year of Zhenguan(in year 634).The name Daoxian county was confirmed in 1913.The natural environment in Daoxian county is exceptional and it was good for the development of culture,which lay a solid foundation for the economy development and city building.The urban area of Daoxian county was very small when it was just established and we cannot figure out the exact number now.In the early years of Hongwu in Ming dynasty,Daoxian county once was promoted to be a city,later down to a county.The commence was well developed due to the boost of agriculture and handicraft,which led to a stable social life pattern in a very long time.Markets boom and Buddhist and Taoist temple were very common.Many great works appeared in this period such as the magnificent stone wall,lifelike olong relief on the Wen tower and the the great stone building.The Urban scale of Daoxian county was not very large.The economic growth rapid was very slow because of unstable social condition.Although,Daoxian county was already a very famous metal producing city,many obstacles led to development lag.As for culture,in Tang and Song dynasty,it was flourishing,especially the splendid Study of agency.A great number of different grades of schools or institutes appeared at that time.The imperial examinations were not so popular in Qing dynasty than that of Song dynasty,but more academies were built which provided a good precondition for the development of culture and education in Daoxian county.After the establishment of new China,many old walls and buildings were pulled down or rebuilt.With the development of social economy,the city’s overall arrangement has been constantly improving and the urban area is continuously extending.While in Daoxian county,people’ s idea about life have changed a lot in the progress of city development.People both pay more attention to economy development and city culture promotion.Meanwhile,the government are trying to build Daoxian county a image of famous historic and cultural city which needs the citizens to take part in.We should have a clear idea about the change of Daoxian county,and positively face all kinds of problems that may appear in the process of city construction.Also,try to correctly deal with the relationship between new city building and old building protection,and exploit the travel resources with scientific ways.
