The Study Of Participation Meaning Of Interactive Art

In the era of technological innovation,we are immersing in the abundance of digital life,and facing with unprecedented confusion at the same time.As one of the most developing forms of art in recent years,interactive media art systematically applies interdisciplinary approach to artistic practice,and uses modern digital computing science and electronic engineering technology to fully integrate with contemporary art.By inviting audiences through their own activities to participate in the art works,therefore,affecting the meaning of the production of works.This study will focus on the interactive media art,the participation of the viewer to produce a discussion of aesthetic and meaning generation mechanism.Since the 1960s,art works involving viewers have received extensive academic attention,however,interactive media art which use digital media to the practice is still challenging for academic art history.The study of the special aesthetic experience in the interactive media art works could opening the new perspective for the understanding of art and the media.Therefore,this article hopes to understand the significance of participation in the interactive media art practice and the significance of the interactive media art works for the significant characteristics of interactive media art-participatory,theoretical combing,exploring the participant's participation in the media art practice.The structure of this thesis is divided into six chapters,the first chapter introduces the background and methods,problem awareness and elaborate research limitations.The second chapter will explain the participation of art works at first,and then discuss the original thought of participatory art,the forms of artistic practice and the meaning generation mechanism of participatory art.The third chapter will focus on the discussion of interactive media art,by analyzing the characteristics and elements of interactive media art,exploring the meaning of this type of works;The fourth chapter will explore how the participation of the viewer in the process of contemporary interactive media art,how to influence the work mechanism,how to interact and participate in the production of interactive media art works.The fifth chapter will be combined with the author's interactive media art practice work,for the previous theory to support the card.Chapter 6 will summarize and conclude the full text.
