And I will also classify these quotations to make out the ways and rules of citing Chinese classics in Taigensho, the influence of ancient Chinese books to Japan's music theory, the extent of preservation and absorption from Chinese classics In Japan. In the Chinese classics cited in Taigensho, there is a vast part of direct quotation in the Tang and Song dynasties of Chinese Genus-books,such as Chuxueji, Taipingyulan and Yueshu, written by Chenyang in Song Dynasty. However, what is worthy of our attention is that a part of Chinese classics are quoted in Japanese music books, such as Shigansho, Kyokunsho, Kaichusho, and so on. This paper is attempted to compare the two parts of quotations to find out the ways and rules of citing Chinese classics in Japanese music books.
