There is not a paper which discussing the language life of middle school students in Shangrao District,in this case,we think it's meaningful for us to study the language life of middle school students in this district.The main subject of this survey is the middle school students of Wannina which is under the jurisdiction of Shangrao. This paper is written according to the theory of macroscopic linguistic investigation , and its analytic method is a combination of spot checking and quantitative analysis. Our statistical tools are IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0 and Microsoft Office Excel 2007. This paper discusses the language use, language competence and the language attitude of the students who from Wannian.This survey describes the relationship between the middle school students'language life and different variables, including 'gender','grade','parents'education background ','parents'occupation','satisfaction of their competence of native dialect','first language acquisition','the evaluation of Mandarin','the evaluation of native dialect','how they value the person who can speak native dialect','whether the native dialect will vanish or not','their sense of identity'.First, we discuss the objective aspects of the language life of middle school students from Wannian,such as their language use in different situations, their abilities of understanding and using different languages(Mandarin and native dialect). At the same time, we analyze how these common variables and psychological variables influence the language use and linguistic competence of the students'.Second, we discuss the subjective aspect of the language life of middle school students from Wannian, that is the students' language attitude which including their evaluation of Mandarin and the evaluation of native dialect.At last, we give our suggestions which based on the conclusion.We need to make every effect to help the students improve their Mandarin proficiency,enhance their sense of identity.What's more,they should correct their attitude to Mandarin and the native dialect.
