Since the film art came into China, there has been a lot of youth theme films,showing the styles and features of young people in the screen. However, due to the emphasis difference of the country's political, economic and cultural development in different stages, domestic youth film has never been developed systematically or sufficiently, showing no clear and sustainable development vein. Therefore, youth film has witnessed, but never participated in the development of our country's domestic film. In the new century, with the rise of the youth group, the creation picture of Chinese film is changing. One of the prominent change is the collective outbreak of campus youth film in recent years. It has not only gained marvelous box office return, but also aroused widespread concern and discussion. Different from the first decade of the new century campus youth film, the domestic campus youth film presents a "stereotype" of the new features in recent years. "Stereotype" has become the main reason for repeated criticism against the campus youth film in recent years.However, up to now, both the academic circle and the film industry are lack of the overall carding of the recent domestic Youth Film, more rarely from the theoretical height to examine the specific meaning of the "stereotype". As the main characteristics of the domestic Youth Film in recent years, the pattern is embodied in two aspects: the hidden narrative and the "Indie Pop" audio-visual language. The reason, the confluence of the youth culture and popular, the new media ecology of the film and television industry pattern and the current film censorship system,together to create the recent situation of the domestic youth film's stereotype.
