The Evolution Of The Relationship Between The CPC And The KMT In 1942-1945

The CPC-KMT relation changed from the relaxation to the tension,and finally became an explosive confrontation after the Pacific War.The evolution of the relationship between the two sides has vivid reflection in the Central Daily News and the Liberation Daily's New Year's greeting in 1942-1945.In the message,both sides promoted the unity and resistance,but the difference is that the KMT gave a strong emphasis on the closely connection between China and the World Anti-Fascist War,the Kuomintang and the three people's principles for the important role of the Chinese Anti-Japanese War and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.And finally,they came up with an idea that is using the three people's principles to establish a state.The aim is to propagandize the thought-there would be no China without the KMT(The Destiny of China).They stressed the legitimacy of the Kuomintang regime.The Communist Party of China emphasized the unity,but they paid more attention to the propaganda of the producing movement and the construction of the democratic regime of three-three system etc in the base areas behind the enemy lines since 1941.They proposed to establish the democratic coalition government and criticized the Kuomintang negative resistance against Japan,especially after the 1939.Owning to different class attitude,ruling position and overall strength,the greetingcontent was different.Research on the New Year's greeting can not only reflect the relationship between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,but also reflect the performance of both sides in the greeting content for their own political propaganda and showed the change of the political power.This power changed have an important and far-reaching impact on the political future of post-war China.The paper is divided into four chapters to discuss the greeting published in their respective publications which reflected the relationship between the CPC and the KMT in 1942-1945.The first chapter discusses collective content in the new year's greeting,mainly reflect the close ties between the China and anti-fascist,the Kuomintang and the Communist Party combined all the democratic parties to unite in the war of resistance against Japan under the new situation and At the same time to mobilize the people of the war to achieve overall anti-Japanese War.The second chapter,from the perspective of Liberation Daily's greeting understandsthe relationship between the two parties.From the strength of the Communist Party of China,the criticism of the Kuomintang' Passive resistance and the democratic coalition government,this paper discusses.And more emphisis will be given to the democratic coalition government and the specific content.The position of CPC in the relationship between the CPC and KMT during the period had changed with the strength of the CPC.The third chapter,In the Central Daily's greeting,the KMT discuss the relationship between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party after the outbreak of the Pacific War which put more emphsis on the importance of the Chinese principles.From the destiny of the Chinese,Chiang Kai-shek discussed the Three People's Principles and the importance and legitimacy of the KMT.Then the paper discusses the great achievements made by China during the war of resistance against Japan in order to show the importance of the Kuomintang to China and finally settle down on the content of the founding of the people's Republic of China.In the fourth chapter,the paper analyzes the causes of the different contents of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China in the aspects of the different political parties in the Anti Japanese War period and the difference between the two sides.These differences not only affect theboth sides new year's message writings after the outbroke of the Pacific War,also had a profound impact on the development of guidelines and policies of both sides in the war,and thus affect the evolution of the forces in the war.The relationship between the CPC and the KMT's trend is unity and struggle.This paper will summarize the full text and deepen the theme from three aspects: the way of the Anti Japanese War,the way of political rule in the war of resistance against Japan and the two sides of the negotiations.New year's message in the evolution of the relationship between both sides is important means in the period of Anti Japanese war propaganda.The decisive factor of the relationship is the change in strength.It can be seen that the strength of the Communist Party of China and the gradual weakening of the Kuomintang forces,and the two sides eventually move toward civil war.
