A Report On Interpretation Of Business Conference At Qingdao Port Automated Terminal

From November 20 th to 28 th,2016,Qingdao port automated terminal business meeting was held in Qingdao Port Qianwan port area.The author was invited to provide interpretation services for that business meeting.The practice report mainly focuses on the main content of the automated terminal business meeting,describing the related practice of interpretation.This practice report includes five sections as interpretation task description,interpretation task preparation,interpretation process,interpretation analysis and project summary.The interpretation task description describes the content of interpretation projects,time,location,participants,other background information and the choice of text.The interpretation project preparation contains interpretation terminology preparation,knowledge preparation and mental preparation,relevant professional content and definition.interpretation process describes the steps of the interpretation project.The author introduces it from two aspects namely speech section and Q&A section.The case analysis,as the core of this thesis,first offers an analysis about the principle of syntactic linearity including its definition and the interpreting strategies guided by this principle.The analysis of interpretation project summarizes the detailed interpretation process,interpretation difficulties,and interpretation policy.The interpretation process summary and reflection makes corrective recommendations to improve the author's strength in the future interpretation practice with the experience in CICCHINA.
