A Study On The Competition Between China And India In Myanmar After The Cold War

Myanmar as a small country in Southeast Asia,it is inconspicuous in the world map,but in Asia geopolitical has a special status.Myanmar is located in the west of IndoChina Peninsula,which is the largest land country of southeast Asia and borders on India in the northesst,China in the northeast and the India Ocean in the south,making its unique geographic location poses a graet significance on the political relationship between China and India.China and India.Based on Myanmar,this paper discussed the interest demands of China and India in Myanmar,and the series of competitives about the sea-power construction,economic and trade needs,energy security from the national interests.Summed up the performance,status and future trends of the competition between China and India in Myanmar since the end of the Cold War.And on this basis,analysis the rivalry between China and India in Myanmar will not be the principal contradiction,under the guidance of the New Geopolitical Security and Non-Zero Sum Game,the two countries can achieves cooperation in Non-traditional Security and economic sectors.But can not be ignored is that the traditional security issues between China and India will always exist,and it can’t reconciled in the short term.If the three parties can accurately understand each other’s strategic needs,and actively respond to,for the regional stability and economic development to understand each other,that will be able to achieve tripartite cooperation and win-win situation.
