The Study For Vocabulary Of The Story-telling Script In Song And Yuan Dynasty

The story-telling script evolved from the form of telling in the Song and Yuan period and became a kind of literary works.It had obvious oral nature and a fixed format,reserved a lot of old words and the words of spoken Chinese,and reflected the use of language in the Song and Yuan dynasty.In this paper,we try to conduct a comprehensive and detailed study on the vocabulary of the scipt,to explore the new words in a synchronic and diachronic point of view,and to reverse the formation reasons of the word,to reveal the way and the rule of evolution,and to add words,meanings and examples to dictionaries.This article is divided into five chapters.Chapter one is introduction,which mainly explains the reason for why selected the topic of this paper,introduces the circulating situation of the story-telling scripts,summarizes the research achievement,confirms the research object and range,and summarizes up the methods and the significance of this article.The second chapter is to seek the source of new words in story-telling scripts in Song ang Yuan dynasty.We found 28 words and 2 new meanings appeared in the scripts at first,use the theory of cases and lexicalization to discuss the reasons of formation,and sum up the regular of the development and evolution of words and their meaning.The third chapter discusses reverse words in story-telling scripts.They not only inherited the old reverse words,but also new words during the Song and Yuan period.We select 14 groups of reverse words as the research object,do a comprehensive and detailed investigation,analysis its usage and summarize the track of development,provide clues for the study of vocabulary in modern Chinese.Chapter four explores the value of the words in story-telling scripts words to the dictionaries.We have collected 16 new words,4 missing meanings,16 examples to bring forward and 12 examples to fill up the Big Chinese dictionary.The fifth chapter is conclusion,sums up the way of word-formation,the trajectory and the reason of development of the new words and inverse morpheme words,and summarize the law of lexical evolution.
