The Pectination And Textual Research On Oneiromancy Books Of Ancient China

Oneiromancy is one of the divination activities in ancient China.Dream books summarizing the experience and methods of dream interpretation were created from the Qin Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty of China.The object of this paper is the Chinese divination books with independent article including oneiromancy as the main content.These books do not include the oracle bone inscriptionsand the subordinate fragmented divination items in other documents,nor the story books based on the dream interpretation stories.Time is before the late Qing Dynasty.In modern times,in the context of Dunhuang literature and Yuelu Academy's acquisition of Qin Jian,the study of dream books became a hot topic at the end of the last century and at the beginning of this century,which attracted more and more attention from domestic and foreign scholars and appeared a large number of achievements.However,due to the time limitation of unearthed literature,the relevant researches focused on the Song Dynasty.Although some scholars combed the records of handed-down literature in the 90 s of last century,there still needs more supplements and studies on them,especially the folk literature,which is not a systematic study and cannot compare with the handed-down literature.Based on the above reasons,this article reexamines the records of handed down literature and edits,adds and examines books' information.This article are divided into five chapters by the system of times.The first chapter is the stereotypes and development of dream book(from Qin to Sui);the second chapter is the bloom and diversion of dream book(Tang and Song Dynasties);the third is conventionalism and curing of dream book(Ming and Qing Dynasties).In this three chapters,in order to provide reliable text,the author will try literature staging,abstracts preparing and lost articles correcting,and emphasize the collection to the folk books and inscriptions during Ming and Qing Dynasties,combining the unearthed literature,handed down literature and folk literature to sort out the basic situation of Chinese dream books.The fourth chapter is the two categories of dream book.On the basis of directory sorting,comparative examining and literature correcting,dream book will be divided into popularity and knowledge by the standard of entry structure,reference and publish to describe the different manifestations and uses of the two categories at different times.The fifth chapter is the evolution and inheritance of dream book,discussing the inheritance and evolution from the three aspects of the title,the dream item and thesubsidiary content,and explaining the basic thread of the evolution of the dream book.This article provides detailed catalog information,reliable text,frame staging and evolution for further study of dream book.
