Research On Textbooks Of Literary Theory In The Field Of Anti-essentialism

Tao Dong-feng published his paper Rethink Literary Theory as A Subject of University in 2001,he criticized the literary theory textbooks of existence essentialism crux since the new period.Meanwhile,he advocated the anti-essentialism way of thinking to rebuild the literary and artistic knowledge.This formulation has aroused wide concern in the academic circles.Some scholars believe that the essentialism way of thinking bound the literary studies of self reflection ability and knowledge innovation ability.Other scholars said that the fundamental drawback of knowledge production of literature is not essentialism way of thinking,but the abnormality restriction of power on literary production.Some scholars even think that the theory of essentialism thinking has its rationality.No matter how the scholars of literary ideas at odds,but they want to protect and expand of literary theory is the same desire.While,the textbooks of literary theory of literary knowledge as the most effective way to communicate,So scholars will be rewritten the literary theory textbooks according to the new ideas of the debate.In a few words,this paper will solve these problems.What are the differences between the textbooks of literary theory in the debate of anti-essentialism and the previous textbooks?What are the ideas of these new textbooks of literary theory?What is the writing styles of literature theory textbooks?In the future,how should we go to the construction of literary theory textbooks?Add to the introduction and the postscript part,this paper consists of six parts:The introduction is mainly about the reason of choosing the topic,research ideas,research status and research significance are discussed.In the first chapter,the first is to explain the formation and evolution of the anti-essentialism concept.The second step is to scholars in our country has carried on the introduction to the different understanding of the anti-essentialism.Finally,the relationship between anti-essentialism and literary theory is discussed.In the present,the debate between essentialism and anti-essentialism is not conclusive,But the anti-essentialism way of thinking does give us a lot of good ideasand suggests.Therefore,the second chapter of this paper mainly discusses the construction of literary theory textbooks on the anti-essentialism in the field.Such as constructivism,relationalism,localism and so on.In addition,this chapter also specialies in a section.This section is mainly on the traditional literary theory of the existence of the essentialism issue of elaboration.While,the purpose of the article is to let the reader in the contrast found in the new textbooks special.Different textbooks construction ideas usually produce different preparation methods.Based on the scholar 's understanding of the existence of anti-essentialism differences of the theoretical standpoint,the literary ideas and the construction ideas.Therefore,in the third chapter,this paper selects the six representative and authoritative literary theory textbooks,and their writing styles are compared and analyzed.In the fourth chapter,first of all,the historical evaluation of these new textbooks.Then,This paper summarizes the principles of how to construct the ideal textbooks of literature in the anti-essentialism field.Finally,in postscript part,This paper tells us that the reconstruction of literary theory textbooks can not completely oppose anti-essentialism.We should see the progress and rationality of essence and essentialism.
