The Democratization Of Cambodia Since 1993

The continuous unrest of the political situation since independence in Cambodia,experienced Sihanouk,Ronald,democratic Kampuchea and the Vietnamese invasion period.It was not until 1990 s that the United Nations was able to gradually solve the Cambodia’s problem peacefully,Its democratic politics can be further developed.In order to realize the stability of the political situation,we should realize the Democratic system.Because the theme of today’s era is stability and development,not war.The stable political situation and democratic system are also expected by the people of Kampuchea.Therefore,the study of democracy in Kampuchea has become very urgent and practical significance.The reason why I chose the time period after1993 is because the political situation and the situation of the war in Cambodia have stabilized since 1993,Although there are occasional conflicts,but the overall situation is stable,this environment is conducive to the development of democracy.Moreover,democratization is the main trend in the world today,and it has spread to many Third World countries after the war,and Kampuchea is no exception.To strengthen the study and understanding of democratization in Cambodia can be a contrast to the socialist democracy in our country,Although both belong to different types of democracy,but as a developing country,there are still a lot of reference,This is the reason why I wrote this article.This paper is divided into three chapters except the introduction.The first chapter mainly expounds the definition and evaluation criteria of democratization;The second chapter introduces the development of democratic politics in Kampuchea(the main contents include the confirmation of the rules of election procedure,the development of multi-party politics,the judicial reform in Kampuchea,etc.)The third chapter introduces the problems of democratic politics in Cambodia;the conclusion expounds the Enlightenment of the development of democratic politics in Cambodia.In this paper,through the above analysis to reveal the development of democratic politics is the trend.However,due to the history,national conditions and culture of different countries,blindly copying the political experience of othercountries can not only be a good national governance,but also will cause a series of difficulties.Cambodia in the introduction of advanced democratic politics,but also need to combine their own national conditions and characteristics,to create their own "Cambodian" democratic politics.
