Many scholars have paid close attention to English writing teaching,and the importance of English writing teaching is self-evident.All these existed researches show that there are many problems in English writing teaching,and English writing is still the weak link in English teaching.It is universally acknowledged that,practice makes perfect.Only frequent exercise can promote writing.Teachers aren't likely to correct so many compositions due to the increasing quantity of students' English writing.In order to reduce teachers' work and ensure that students can do enough exercises,the JuKu Correcting Net arises in the historic moment.This research is conducted on the basis of predecessors.It researches the influences on the process of English major's writing teaching caused by the application of JuKu Correcting Net by means of empirical study(including the changes of teaching model,classroom atmosphere,students' writing attitude,teachers' role,the relationship between teachers and students,and students' writing level).This research may help improving writing teaching with the aid of the JuKu Correcting Net.Many research methods,such as classroom observation,questionnaire,interview,are adopted in the study.The study aims to find out the changes of teaching model,classroom atmosphere,teachers' roles,students' writing attitudes,the relationship between teachers and students,and students' writing level due to the application of JuKu Correcting Net.Research questions are as follows: what happened to teaching models,classroom atmosphere,teachers' roles,students' writing attitudes,the relationship between teachers and students,and students' writing levels due to the application of JuKu Correcting Net?The investigation is on students in Class 1(40)and Class 2(39)in a science and engineering college in He Nan,and these students are freshmen majoring in English.79 students participate in my survey.Class 1 is the control class,and the teacher corrects students' English writing during the whole term.Class 2 is the experimental class,and the teacher corrects students' English writing by herself in the first half semester,and by JuKu Correcting Net in the second half semester.The changes ofteaching models,classroom atmosphere and teachers' roles are recorded after using JuKu Correcting Net in Class 2 by observation.This study researches the changes of students' writing attitude after using JuKu Correcting Net in Class 2 by interview,and it researches the changes of relationship between students in Class 2 and teachers after using JuKu Correcting Net by questionnaire,and it compares the writing scores before using JuKu Correcting Net with the scores after using JuKu Correcting Net of students in Class 2 by paired-samples T test,and it compares the final English composition scores of Class 1 with scores of Class 2 by independent-samples T test.The study shows that using of the JuKu Correcting Net brings many changes to teaching models,classroom atmosphere,writing attitudes,teachers' roles,the relationship between teachers and students.Nevertheless,it doesn't change students' writing level.The classroom atmosphere,students' writing attitude,and the relationship between teachers and students are improved by using of JuKu Correcting Net.
