In this great era of economic integration,China is showing its speedy development in international cooperation.In the process of economic take-off,Shaanxi today has a tendency of attracting more and more foreign investment,especially after the announcement of The One Belt and One Road project.Therefore,it is an inevitable trend for Shaanxi enterprises to assign staffs overseas.In order to let expatriates adjust well in host countries,intercultural training situation for Shaanxi expatriates as one of the determinants needs to be concerned.This thesis is written to figure out the effective intercultural training for expatriates in Shaanxi based on their intercultural adjustment and to propose corresponding measures for intercultural training in improving intercultural adjustment.The methods used in conducting this research are both qualitative and quantitative studies.The theoretical basis is formed by combining Colleen Ward?s Two Aspects of Adaption with Grove and Torbion?s Homeostasis.The research data is collected mainly through questionnaire.The process of analytical operation is through SPSS by testing the frequency,mean,ANOVA and correlation of variables for different purposes.The outcomes of the research are as follows.First of all,the overall intercultural adjustment situation of Shaanxi expatriates is not promising.Second,great attention is necessary to be drawn to intercultural training,for almost 50% percent of the expatriates in Shaanxi have not attended training courses.Besides,the existing intercultural training programs are necessary to be improved in line with the feedbacks from expatriates.In the end,the correlation analysis indicates that traditional training methods and skills teaching are the most related ones with regard to successful intercultural adjustment.The analysis shows that there is a close relationship between intercultural training and intercultural adjustment.If the importance of intercultural training program could be aroused,government and enterprises would obtain more interests and the going out strategy of Shaanxi would acquire more farsighted development.
