Study On Emboroidery Of Hongan In Hubei Province

With the development of the China's economy,the cultural and natural heritage is being damaged more seriously.It is not until 2003 that China officially started the protection and identification work on national folk culture.In present China,the intangible cultural heritage of national folk is dying out at an alarming rate.On the one hand,it is because of the inheritance interruption.On the other hand,the word economy and culture takes a impact on it.In this case,the protection of important handicraft is urgent.With the summary of relevant literature and field research in Hong'an area,the author makes research on Hong'an embroidery from the following four aspects:Firstly,analyze the geographical conditions and cultural customs in Hong'an in which the Hong'an embroidery started and developed.The embroidery products are with a rich variety because of the geographic and cultural diversity in Hong'an.Secondly,collect the existing more than 20 kinds of stitches used in Hong'an embroidery and make the analysis and summary.These stitches are mutually combined in embroidery products and it can show the essence of the patterns.The author tries to make a better explanation of local stitches and its representation of the peculiarity of Hong'an embroidery.Thirdly,collect all kinds of patterns of Hong'an embroidery and make analysis and classification accordingly.The characteristics of patterns in Hong'an area can be found out by analyzing the decoration method and color.Fourthly,make investigation into the problems in inheritance and development of Hong'an embroidery by field research and questionnaire survey.Though Hong'an embroidery is listed as national intangible cultural heritage,there are still many problems in its inheritance and development.By the relevant questionnaire survey and objective summary,we can work out morevaluable suggestion.we suggested that we could use the Internet to publicize and encourage more people to take part in the hong'an embroidery,we can also take the embroidery of hong'an to the school and so on.
