Philosophical Implications Research Of Material Implication

Material implication theory almost runs through the entire history of the development of logic.In ancient Greek period,logicians focused on it,it even became the focus of the social discussion.Until today,attention of it has not decreased.With the development of modern logic,logicians,represented by Frege and Russell,formally put forward the material implication,which indicates that the theory of material implication has entered a new period.The development of material implication has undergone a historical process starting from Philo to Frege.This paper argues that this is a process of vertical and in-depth theory.At the same time,after Russell formally put forward the "material implication",the problem has been developing in the horizontal direction.Which followed by the paradox of material implication,the promotion of other implication and the evaluation of material Implication.The research method used in this paper is literature research.This paper combs the domestic and foreign literature,according to the vertical and horizontal two clues.Ultimately achieve the goal of comprehensive combing material implication problems.In this paper,firstly,sort out the development process of material implication,and explore its development basis.Then draw the conclusion that the objective causality between things and the extensive distribution of daily reasoning lay the philosophical foundation for the development of substantive implication.The author also holds that the paradox of material implication and the promotion of other implication theories constitute the philosophical influence of the development of material implication.In the end,the author explores the philosophical essence of material implication,and concludes that the fidelity of material implication constitutes its philosophical essence.This paper also uses a case-by-case analysis.Frege's and Grice's defense of material implication are introduced respectively.And compares the material implication with other implication theories.Finally,it is concluded that the material implication has the advantages of simple operation and universal applicability both theoretically and practically.
