Architecture is a consolidate art with different cultures involved. With the development of globalization, more and more architecture interpreters are needed so that architecture arts could be understood and appreciated, and cultures be exchanged among different countries.A lecture called Gothic Architecture,Part 1: Early French Gothic given by Professor Jacqueline Gargus in the course,History of Architecture I(Arch 5110)from the Ohio State University at Columbus, was chosen as the material for simulated interpreting in this project. The interpreting version was then evaluated on the basis of TQA model(Translation Quality Assessment model)so that self-deficiencies on interpreting could be analyzed and self-improvements be realized.Meanwhile, suggestions for TQA model were proposed, and the report was accomplished consequently.Four chapters are included in the report, namely task description, process description, case analysis, and conclusion respectively. In chapter one, introduction of topic source, significance, task objectivity and simulated audience are involved.Interpreting process is stated in chapter two, consisting of preparation on theory, backgrounds, jargons, tools before interpreting, and transcripts typing for composing the report. In chapter three, the interpreting version of this project is analyzed on the basis of dimensions from TQA model. And conclusion and suggestions are available in chapter four.
