Jiang Wenye(1910-1983)is one of the most successful musicians in the history of Chinese modern music,and his works play an important role in the development of contemporary music.Over 70 years,he created more than 130 musical works on various fields,including the creation of piano,choral,orchestral,chamber music.We can say he is a diligent and prolific artist.Among all his works,the piano musics take over most of Jiang's music creations,representing the top level of piano works in the 30 s to 50 s of last century and occupying his whole life from start to finish.The Third Piano Sonata--Jiangnan scenery is one of the most vital representatives in his piano creations on the basis of rearranging the ancient pipa tune Xunyang Moonlight.This music was created in 1945 and was a blending of folk music materials and advanced technique of western music.Under the direction of Musicology analysis,the paper interprets The Third Piano Sonata--Jiangnan scenery from multilevel,concluding the unique artistic style in this work presented by the combination of Chinese style and western composition techniques to better understand Jiang's arts and the development of Chinese Modem music under the social background at that time.
