The Collision Between Traditional Composing Techniques And New Music Theory In Chen Yi's Music Works

Chen Yi,who won a number of international honors in the field of composition.As a famous composer in the world,Chen Yi is a foreign citizen of Chinese origin.The brightest spot of Chen Yi's composition is that she succeeded in combining elements of Chinese folk music with western modern composing techniques to form attractive and distinctive “Chen Yi' style”,which got high praise in the field of music home and abroad.In most of Chen Yi's works,combining and using the cultural material of eastern and western is her target.Taking the mixed sound trio of Chen Yi's work "Ning" as an example,the harmony and creation style as its research subject,this paper combined with the work to analyze how does Chen Yi in the process of creation successfully use western modern composing techniques as well as combine Chinese folk music elements.Firstly,this paper introduced composer Chen Yi's musical creation experience home and abroad,and then focused on her education and influence in the process of her growth.Her creative inspiration and material she used are based on her personal life experiences and growth process.And on this basis,according to Chen Yi's creation characteristics to classify and summarize her musical works.Next,this paper interpret combining point of the traditional music and new music aesthetic,as well as the new music and traditional music.Next,based on acoustic and composing music theory,this paper analyzed the mixed sound trio of Chen Yi's work "Ning" in detail.The work of “Ning” is defined as mixed sound trio,which right hightlight Chen Yi's musical works' characteristic------the combination of Chinese and Western.Works using the violin and the cello,joined the Chinese traditional musical instrument pipa,manifests the east and west,tradition and modern music,their distinctive aesthetic creation idea,also reflects the composer's inner world.Last,this paper further interpreted the enlightenment of which reflected in Chen Yi's work “Ning”: creation skill is not a simple superposition;the "unity" and "conflict" are necessary;Creative soul is to stick to national music which is fundamental,nation is the world;Creative realm is to realize the content and form,the height of the music and heart collision.
