The language acquisition needs certain environment,while the English class is the main place to learn English for students in China.Over the past 30 years,the classroom atmosphere or environment as a large and complex system was researched by many scholars at home and abroad,and has achieved a great number of valuable results.This thesis is mainly discussing the classroom atmosphere or environment from the psychological level,investigates the differences between the perception of the current situation of actual English classroom atmosphere or environment and prospects of ideal English classroom atmosphere or environment in non-English major undergraduate bilingual classes by the questionnaire to students,interview with the teachers and the classroom observation of two bilingual classes.The result of research shows that minority bilingual undergraduates are satisfied with their actual English classroom atmosphere or environment as they perceive that most of the elements in their English classroom are acceptable.Students have very high prospects for their ideal English classroom atmosphere or environment,for the mean values of all ten scales go beyond the level of 4.00.The differences between the perception of the current situation of actual English classroom atmosphere or environment and prospects of ideal English classroom atmosphere or environment in non-English major undergraduate bilingual classes mainly exist in the aspect of the teacher's The Innovation of Teachers,The Cooperation of Students,students' responsibility and The Involvement of Students.The reason of these differences might be from the teacher's teaching and learning method,the students' English proficiency,the students' The Involvement of Students,English materials and class discipline,etc.Finally,the author summarizes the problem of non-English major undergraduates' classroom atmosphere or environment and gives suggestions to the Xinjiang minority students' English teaching and learning.New teaching and learning pattern should be applied to the English class,to increase the interaction between the teachers of bilingual classes and the minority students as appropriate,make students learn English in a harmonious environment and joyful mood;the students should actively engaged to the English class;the classroom discipline should be improved and lead the class orderly;schools should choose suitable English text for the non-English major bilingual class minority undergraduate students' ethnic personalities and actual English proficiency.
