Since the1970 s,scholars‘ focus on sex differences has begun to shift from physiological sex differences to sex role differences. The attitude of the individual to the performance of the appropriate role of men or women, that is,the view, perception and evaluation of men or woman‘s sex role formed in the acquired social culture,is the sex role attitudes. At present, the more consistent dimension describing the sex role attitudes in the academic community is that one end is modern and egalitarian while the other end is traditional and unequal.Sex role attitudes affect multiple aspects of behavioral activity of men and women in the social context.Dual-earner couples refer to the group in which both husband and wife are employed and have stable income. This study mainly examined the difference of Dual-earner couples in sex role attitudes and how it affects the marital quality based on the rapid increase of China‘s dual-earner family and the changing situation of the sex role attitudes of men and women: how do the different sex role attitudes affect the spouse support? How does the spouse support play the mediating role in the process of the influence of the sex role attitudes on the marital quality? In short,it explores the difference of China‘s dual-earner couples in the sex role attitudes as well as the relationship between sex role attitudes, spouse support and marital quality.First of all, from the perspective of implicit social cognition,by examining the self and sex implicit association bias of the dual-earner couples between family and work, the GO/NO-GO Association Task was used to understand the overall characteristics of the dual-earner couples in the sex role attitudes in marriage.SPSS19.0 was applied for data entry and management. And then, four couples with different combination of the sex role attitudes in these couple were selected for in-depth interview. The content of the interview was converted into a text by recording and then the text was qualitatively analyzed. Finally, taking the questionnaire survey method with the short form of the Scale of Egalitarian Sex Role Attitudes(SESRA-S),Support in Intimate Relationships Rating Scale(SIRRS)and Chinese Marital Quality Inventory(CMQI),the correlation analysis, regression analysis and Action-Partner Interdependence Model(APIM)was utilized to make quantitative analysis. This study draws the following conclusions:(1)In self-concepts,compare with ?work?,women had a stronger self-identification with ?family?;Compare with women, men had a stronger self-identification with ?work?.(2)In sex-role concepts, both men and women identified the woman‘s family role, and men were more likely to identify the woman‘s family role than the women.(3)In self and sex concepts, all the participant‘s identify in family role was higher than that in work role.(4)For dual-earner couples, husband‘s sex role attitudes were more conventional than wife‘s;and the individual‘s sex role attitude had a negatively effect on the perceived spouse support and martial quality;the individual‘s perceived spouse support positively affected their marital quality.(5)Husband‘s sex role attitude could negatively predict his own and his wife‘s marital quality, while wife‘s sex role attitudes could only make a negative prediction of her own marital quality.(6)Spouse support perceived by the husband was a full mediator between his own sex role attitude and marital quality and was a partial mediator of his wife‘s marital quality.(7)Spouse support perceived by the wife was a partial mediator between her own sex role attitude and marital quality.
