Study On The Official Script Style In Han Dynasty

Most of the studies on the official scriptures focus on the origin,the change and the use of the official script,and rarely studies involve the research of the style of the official script in Han Dynasty.In recent years,with the continuous development of archaeology,many bamboo scripts and silk manuscripts comes up.We have the honor to see the ink of the Han Dynasty official script.From the current research data,Xu Yuli’s work of "The Complete Steles of the Han Dynasty"includes the inscriptions of the Han Dynasty,cliff inscriptions,grave altar,vouchers,stone inscriptions,and so on,altogether about three hundred and sixty squares.About two hundred and fifty squares has clear time records.Not only that,from the beginning of the twentieth century,bamboo slips were unearthed in Gansu,Xinjiang and other places.Until 1930 there were more than 10,000 bamboo slips were found in the Juyan site by Gansu delegation,and it shocked the academic community.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,bamboo slips were unearthed successively in Linyi Yinque Mountain in Shandong Province,Anhui Fuyang Shuanggudui,Zhangjiashan,Juyan,Changsha Mawangdui of Hunan Province,Wuwei and so on.And the bamboo scripts with time records were numerous.These not only provide a reliable material information for us to study the formation and norms of official script in Han Dynasty,but also provide a lot of information for our study of the official script style in Han Dynasty.The rich bamboo slips and inscriptions are the important information guarantee of the study of Han Dynasty.This paper’s research basis is a large number of Han Dynasty bamboo slips,inscriptions,silk materials,which are unearthed in modern times,and it is designed to comprehensively study the causes of the formation of the official script style in Han Dynasty and the classification of the official script style in Han Dynasty.There are many factors affecting the Diversity of the official script style.First of all,through the comparison of the different writing materials in the inscriptions and bamboo slips,it found that the length and width of the slips,special lines and the uncertainty of special lines and the writing process,the level of inscriptions,the consciousness of inscriptions,the advantages and disadvantages of stone material,and natural weathering were the factors that cause the diversity of the official script style.Secondly,the Han Dynasty is a society in which various thoughts are integrated.Throughout the aesthetic thought of the Han Dynasty,it can be divided into three types:the Taoist thought represented by "Huang Lao Xue",the "Chu-sao" traditional thoughts represented by Historical Records" of Sima Qian,the Confucianism represented by Dong Zhongshu,Yang Xiong,Wang Chong and "Mao Shi Xu".These aesthetic thoughts are the main factors influencing the aesthetic pursuit of the calligraphy in the Han Dynasty and one of the factors that cause the diversity of the calligraphy style.Thirdly,the diversity of the Han Dynasty calligraphy style has a great relationship with the writing group in the Han Dynasty.There are obvious differences in the different classes in the Han Dynasty.Because their own experience,the degree of education and the occupation are different,these have influences on their writing habits,and then affect the calligraphy style.This is one of the factors that impacts the diversity of the Han Dynasty calligraphy style,such as the difference of the writings of Han Dynasty history,book and ordinary manual workers.Finally,the artistic style of Chinese calligraphy art based on the practical Chinese characters often changes its specific format and shape due to the different purposes,thus forming a unique artistic style.In the aspect of calligraphy style classification,we still describe the characters of official script style based on the Han Dynasty inscriptions.The advantages of this classification method is that it can make a summary of the Han Dynasty inscriptions character style more generally.But there are shortcomings,that is,the grasp of the Han Dynasty official script style is not comprehensive enough.In recent years,a large number of bamboo slips calligraphy were unearthed,it enriched the Han Dynasty official script information.It is necessary to carry out a comprehensive study on the writing of the Han Dynasty if we want to carry out a integrity research of official script in Han Dynasty.The author finish "Han Dynasty calligraphy chronological catalog" through the sorting the Han Dynasty bamboo slips and chronologizing the Han Dynasty inscriptions.The author finds that it is not just more than the above style can be summarized through the comparison of bamboo slips and inscriptions which have clear time records of Han Dynasty,and we must have more detailed classification.The traditional art of poetry and calligraphy art the most closed relation,so the author has a more detailed classification of Han Dynasty official script by learning from classification method of the "poem" by Sikong Tu,referring to the Qing Dynasty "twenty-four paintings" by Huang Yue and "new twenty-four books" by Jin Xuezhi.
