A Expliration About The Emergence Of Pop-star Group In Modern China From The 'Pop-stars Magazine'

After the Opium War,China was influenced by western culture and then the‘culture of celebrity began to enjoy its popularity.Moreover,especially in 1920 s and 1930 s,it was in divided into different forms depend on the the development of this culture and they are singers,dancers,movie actors and social stars in Shanghai.In the meantime,this special culture has become the distinctive sign and symbol during the process of Chinese musical history.The emergence of the singers and the formation of the singer groups are the significant components and historical marks in the development of Chinese popular music.What is more,the arrival of the second industrial revolution brought the human society into the era of electricity.Since 1840,the rising industrial civilization from the west has gradually entered into China which changed the traditional lifestyle of Chinese and affected all aspects of our social culture.In addition,to some extent,the emergence and development of "singer" is related to the development of industrial civilization.In mechanization era,"singer" has become a new object of consumption and entertainment to the public.The citizens enjoyed the excitement that brought by the “singer”,while they also released the pressure which created by the industrial production system.I will be based on the previous results of the scholars in my research,and through collecting,sorting and analyzing the related data,combined with sociology,psychology,literature and other research methods,using knowledge and research methods of music history to study my dissertation topic.Moreover,I will make the “pop-star magazine”as the breakthrough point,which was published in 1935 to sort out the star and relevant content that was reported in the “pop-star magazine” in order to understand the basic existence condition of Chinese star at that time and according to the historical fact that was presented in the magazine to trace and explore the emergence and formation of Chinese pop-star and pop-star group in 1920 s and 1930 s.As a result,I will use the method of "retrograde" as the primary research method in my dissertation.Firstly,I will sort and collect the relevant historical data.Secondly,I will analyze and investigate the reasons and conditions of modern Chinese pop stars rather than the reasons for the formation of the pop-star group.The“pop-star magazine”is a precious historical material that recorded modern Chinese singers group and its publication also shows the influence of the modern Chinese pop star groups and singer culture.And then based on this material,I will further analyze the effects of the formation of Chinese pop stars on the development of popular music in China in order to let more people understand and realize there are many characters that were covered up,not being discovered and not for people to understand which have been bloomed glory and leaved footprints except Jinhui Li,Minghui Li,Xuan Zhou,Renmei Wang in the process of the development of popular music in China.Even let more people know the development of popular music in our country has been in line with the development of the times and has achieved good results in Shanghai in 1920 s and 1930 s.With great respect,I hope to make a bit of work and effort for the study of the history of Chinese modern music.This article sorts out and explains the existence and development of Chinese singers from three parts in 1920 s and 1930 s and they are "pop-star magazine”and star groups,the characteristics of modern Chinese pop singers,the formation reasons and development process of modern Chinese pop-star groups,which includes the following aspects:the data statistics of the pop-stars and the singing clubs,the organization and expression of star groups,the basic framework in the singing circle and the news public opinion of pop-stars,and the conditions,formation and development of modern Chinese pop stars.
