As an immigrant writer,Geling Yan could not ignore the influence of Chinese culture and history, nor neglect the impact of Western heterogeneous context and living state.Due to different life and culture shock, the Chinese images in her works were gradually vivid after she went abroad.Perhaps when departing from the familiar environment, she was able to look back on homeland with a new perspective,re-understand and reflect upon self-nationality.The Lost Daughter of Happiness,as the representative of Geling Yan's immigrant novels, not only portrays some distinctive images of the Chinese people, such as Fusang,Dayong and "I",but also depicts the Chinese workers as the representative of the Chinese group images.Through the interpretation of these images, the oriental culture and philosophical thoughts implied by them, this paper explores Geling Yan's memory of homeland, reflection and re-writing.
