Nowadays, the world globalization shows a multicultural development tendency. With deepening and expansion of its influence, the dissemination of Chinese culture has become a pressing need.In the trend of globalization, how to introduce unique Chinese culture to the world is a big challenge. As an important medium for the world to know about China, translation of Chinese-specific words is an irreplaceable means to promote our brilliant and profound culture to the outside world.Significance of the translation is reconsidered in this paper—to make people learn about the truth of China,to show Chinese culture influence and to promote our nation's “soft power”.China English,as an English variety,is considered as the combination of normative English and Chinese culture, which introduces the unique Chinese culture, ideology and tradition to the western world. The author studies the China English in the translation of Chinese-specific words from the perspective of Ethics of Difference proposed by Lawrence Venuti, whose theory strongly against “sameness”,is foreignization in nature. The author of this paper analyzes the China English samples in The New York Times andmakes a diachronic comparison with former studies, then gives some translation suggestions—under the guidance of Ethics of Difference, how the translator constructs China's cultural identity by releasing China English in the process of translating Chinese-specific words. At the same time, the author points out that as China English develops and goes overseas, the world will know more about Chinese culture. It is of great importance to facilitate favorable conditions for China's further integration into the world. What is more,China English plays a vital part in enriching the English language and culture.
