The Role Of Locai Government In The Development Of Traditional Opera

The prosperity of a country cannot be separated from the prosperity and development of traditional culture.Similarly,if a city with a unique charm wants to stand out from the city group,it cannot be separated from the development of excellent traditional culture,which can promote politics and economy.As a part of traditional culture,drama,with a long history and unique charm,is an important carrier to express and inherit the excellent traditional culture of China.Drama plays a unique political function,economic function and cultural function for the urban development.On July 11,2015,in order to develop opera,promote Chinese traditional culture and enrich people's spiritual and cultural life,the State Council issued the circular on the policy of supporting the development of traditional Chinese opera,which will bring the importance of opera inheritance and development to a new height.Taking Huangmei opera in Anqing city as an example,this paper mainly discusses the role of local government in the development of Huangmei opera.As a traditional opera with a history of over 200 years,Huangmei opera is one of the five most famous operas in China,the other four of which are Peking opera,Yue opera,Ping opera Yu opera.As the brand of Anqing city's traditional culture,Huangmei opera plays an important role in its international communication.However,since 21 st century,the development of Huangmei opera has encountered hitherto unknown challenges,such as loss of professionals,outstanding actors aging and scarcity of good works,etc,which lead to Huangmei opera attracting less audience and reducing its reputation.As Huangmei opera's living environment is getting worse,it is crucial for the local government to use administrative functions to develop Huangmei opera.According to the six main lines,this article analyzes local government's role in the development of Huangmei opera in Anqing city.Firstly,the article summarizes domestic and international research status of Huangmei opera and governments' function for developing Huangmei opera,and analyzes their inherent relationship.Secondly,it defines relevant concepts and summarizes the theory of public goods,the theory of government function.Thirdly,which role should be played by the local government in the development of Huangmei opera is discussed in detail.Fourth,it analyzes reasons for local government to promote traditional opera to develop from the point of necessity and feasibility.Fifth,taking Anqing City opera as a case,based on summarization of survey data,this article analyses present status of Huangmei opera's development and Anqing government's accurate role in promoting Huangmei opera.Finally,drawing lessons from Suzhou city and Chongqing city for local opera development strategy,the paper puts forward the corresponding measures to solve local government's problems in developing Huangmei opera.Accordingly,Anqing municipal government can take new steps in the cultural function of management innovation,so as to better achieve the guidance of city brand culture and economic and social development goals,finally building Anqing into a civilized city with rich cultural characteristics.
