During the process of constant instrument structure changes and performance improvement,the performance fingering and music categories of pipa have been greatly enriched,but followed the increasing difficulties in playing.In order to solve the problems and difficulties in performance as much as possible,the author tries to explore a new way to play the pipa through consulting a large number of documents,listening to the lectures on the forefront of pipa art,and introducing the thought of Tai chi chuan to the art of pipa performance combined with the self playing and teaching practice.This paper starts from the introduction and discusses the origin,purpose and significance of this project.It summaries the relevant researches at home and abroad,and concrete analysis of previous studies.It also evaluates the feasibility of the research direction.Chapter 2 is an overview which respectively makes a brief introduction of the development and innovation in pipa art and Tai chi chuan factions,as well as their classical theories that makes the related theories be well documented.Chapter three,four,five and six are the core contents of this paper.It elaborates the promotion of the introduction of Tai chi chuan from four aspects of the body gestures and playing techniques,breathing styles,performance psychology and aesthetic psychology.In the respect of the body gestures and playing techniques,requirements on the players' legs,feet,back,wrist and fingers help to stretch the body into a cohesive whole full of energies.In breathing styles,the player needs to follow the principle of breathing into the belly,so as to adjust his or her breath and to properly handle the punctuation and tone.In the performance psychology,the player should adjust the nervousness on the stage and try to be relaxed and natural from the perspective of mood and mentality.In the aesthetic psychology,it needs to help the players to have a better grasp of the fingering arrangement and overall artistic conception by the study on the thought of Yin and Yang,blankness and actuality,dynamic and static state,and rigidness and flexibility.From the perspective of integration and systematicness,this papers applies to the thought of Tai chi chuan to solve the difficulties in the performance and teaching.It is anexchange and complement between music art and physical education,which is expected to inject new energy to the performance art of pipa.This can open up a different study direction which will produce the same results.
