Study On The Pitch Structure Of Piano Divertimento"My Song"

Sheng Zongliang,Chinese contemporary new music composer,is a Chinese composer active in the western world.The piano divertimento "my song",was created by Sheng Zongliang in 1989 commissioned by American pianist Serkin(Serkin),which is composed of four piano pieces.The author reported his inspiration was from two aspects:the first was Serkin's musicianship and virtuosity;the second was the fascination and pursuit of Chinese folk music.The English name of this song is homophonic to “Pulse –sound”,which means the sound of pulse.1980 s was a major turning point in the creation of Chinese piano music.At the same time of nationality continuation,composers began to seek to learn from western modern composing techniques.In this paper,the pitch basic structural composition,combining form and its development technique of “My song” was analyzed from multiple angles and directions and how folk material and modern techniques were combined perfectly by composers was explored.This piano divertimento mainly adopts "five sound four tone group” and two China folk as the basic structural components,make the work equipped with the characteristics of the times in the new era while retaining the Chinese characteristics of“five sound” through creative techniques such as personalized para binding,The use of folk songs,processing of multiple modes of adjustment,the use of decorative tone and colourful transfer and frequent conversion modes etc.The essential description to the work sound perceptual experience was carried out at the same time of technical analysis to the work,in order to explore the artistic charm of personalized pitch organization and its implication in the traditional ethnic groups through analysis of aspects of the pitch material and writing techniques of the work combined with his perception of music and sound effects and summarize the creation of the combination of national pitch material and modern techniques on the theoretical study of Chinese piano works and the positive effects for the Chinese piano music creation.
