Research On Chinese Traditional Flower Arrangement Art In Contemporary Living Space

In the 21 st century,with the continuous innovation of science and technology and the change of people’s lifestyle,mass consumption culture is eroding our life.Most people emphasis more on diversification and personalization living space,Focus more on the harmony between physical environment and spirit,perfect functions and personalized requirements,technology progress and regional culture.As a new kind of soft furnishings,Flower arrange art plays an important role,and it has become extremely popular and can be seen almost everywhere around the world.However,western and Japanese “flower Decoration" are nearly dominate the living spave in China.The composition either flowers the same pattern,or lacks cultural connotation and artstry,which leads to the personal local and national characteristics.Traditional Chinese flower arrangement has a long history,and it is also the origin of Japanese “flower Decoration”.It is both practical and beautiful,easy to change,full of rich poetic meaning,and able to meet the needs of people and the requirement of localization."The nation is the world",It is necessary for contemporary designers to apply our traditional art to the living space,to beautify the environment and meet people’s spiritual needs and to pass on the Chinese culture and improve people’s awareness.This paper studies the traditional Chinese flower arrangement art in the contemporary living space though the method of observation,literature review and questionnaire survey.First of all,it summarized the development of traditional Chinese flower arrangement art,the evolution of the concept and features of living space,as well as the relationship between traditional Chinese flower arrangement art.and living space.Then the paper sums up the value of applying traditional Chinese arrangement art in living space.Finally,the paprr provides design methods corresponding to space with different functions,and the principle of design.
