Research On Application Of Bamboo-weaving Art In Living Space Design

Craft of weaving is the precious wealth left by handicraftsmen for us,and it is also a wonderful work in the development of handicraft.Industrial products have been increased greatly due to the development of industrial age,and a lot of modern products have rushed into our life.On the contrary,more and more bamboo weaving crafts are disappeared in people's lives.The traditional bamboo-weaving art has no qualified successors,facing the situation of being lost.The bamboo-weaving art is marginalized gradually,thousands of years of which is close to the predicament of disappearing.The bamboo-weaving art is in sore need of protection and development.Besides,the application scope of bamboo-weaving art in the living space is very little nowadays.The bamboo-weaving art has not given full play to its own plasticity characteristics,also not performed its modeling characteristics,making the interior decoration lack of “character” traits.The main research subject of this thesis is to discuss how to use the modeling characteristics of bamboo-weaving art in the living space design,make the bamboo-weaving art return to reality lives,and apply in aspects such as ceiling,walls,floors,furniture,lamps and lanterns as well as decorations.As a result,this thesis takes the application research of bamboo-weaving art as the principal line,uses the living space as the carrier,researching the design principle and form language of bamboo-weaving art in the living space,concluding the common weaving type and sense of form of bamboo-weaving art in the living space.This thesis also analyzes and concludes the rationality and innovation point in the application of bamboo-weaving art in the living space from aspects such as process flow and material characteristics of bamboo-weaving art,as well as extends exploringly in the application of future bamboo-weaving art in the living space,inheriting and developing the time-honored bamboo-weaving art.This thesis is mainly divided into four parts to explain the research viewpoints:Party I(Chapter 1)is Introduction,firstly presents the start point of the research of this topic,and introduces the research background of the topic briefly,then digs out the research significance and innovation point of this topic from the analysis of research status at home and abroad,forming the research method and theoretical framework.Part II(Chapter 2)introduces the basic concept and its craft of bamboo-weaving art.The history introduction of development of bamboo-weaving art explains the historical development of bamboo-weaving art,and bamboo-weaving art formed under the specific cultural background.In the Basic Concept and processing craft of bamboo-weaving art,it introduces the definition of bamboo-weaving and bamboo-weaving art.In the Bamboo-Weaving Art and Weaving Texture,it introduces the common weaving types: plain weaving and multi-dimensional weaving.Part III(Chapter 3-5)is the major part of this thesis,which introduces the design principle and form language of bamboo-weaving art in the living space design,and demonstrates relevant viewpoint in combination of the application practice.Part IV(Chapter 6)introduces difficulties and solutions bamboo-weaving art in the living space design.There are two main difficulties: one is component connection of bamboo-weaving art,the other one is modularized application.At last,it states the expectation of bamboo-weaving art.
