The Analysis Of Charaters' Fate In Dongxi's Novels

Dongxi is not only one of Guangxi's three swordsmen,but also one of the leading figures and mainstay on the Guangxi literature's way towards the center of Chinese Literature.His works reflect the current social situations,reveal various social contradictions and problems and profoundly analyze the inconstancy of human relationships and the virtue and vice of humanity.Dongxi gives free rein to his own imagination and creation,taking the rural areas and the prosperous cities in Northwest Guangxi as the background and standpoint.His novels include the contents and ideas revealing the situations ranging from rural areas to metropolises,show both rural nobodies' survival predicament and urban nobodies' psychological predicaments,and display nobodies' tragic fates and his concern about the urban people's indifference.Dongxi's novels are mostly described in all kinds of experiences and fate,the fate writing with a distinct personality characteristics.the hero can not escape their fate which like a nothingness and powerful force.No matter it is the rural people's struggling in the hard living,or urban people losing themselves in the colorful living;no matter their compromise with the fate in the beginning,or their resistance after the endurance,the end is with defeated fate for the protagonist.Dongxi's novel is to dig the hardships and difficulties of human survival from the bottom of the small people point of view,pay attention to the description and interpretation of human survival tragedy,and reveal the reality of the various problems in a rational view to make the reader have a deep understanding of the advantages and defects in people's character though the words and indepth thinking of the characters' fate.The fate of the characters writing in DongXi 's novels not only let people know that nobody lives,also reflects the spirit of author 's feelings.This article attempts to through the point-cut in fate,there is a discussion by DongXi's novels.This paper consists of five parts:the introduction part mainly introduces the creation of DongXi's novels,carding the research status and clarify selected topic reason and value.Chapter one explores the charaters' cruel and unfortunate fates in Dongxi's novels and analyzes different types of characters' tragic fates from three aspects,namely,the suffering of rural nobodies,the degradation of rural migrant females and the death of urban nobodies.DongXi 's novels not only focus on the living plight of the rural nobody and female migrant,also focused on the urban nobody's cracks in survival and lost,reveals the nobody 's hardship and despair of survival.Chapter two probes into the characters' different attitudes and choices towards the unfortunate fates.In DongXi's novel nobody in the face of fate has a different choice,some compromise to fate obedience,some fight,some even try to "tampering" the destiny.We can find that people encountered challenges of life in different historical period and the different attitudes,psychological and behavior of people face the unfortunate fate.Chapter Three explores the reasons and significance of the characters' fates in Dongxi's novels.Both in the Chinese traditional culture and northwest guangxi culture fatalism have a certain effect on DongXi's novels writing on the fate.DongXi's humanitarian feelings also is the main reason that prompted him to fate written.The characters' fates in the novels manifest his compassion for human being's tragic fates,his perception and criticism over the real life,and his glorification and appeal to kindness and beauty.The last part serves as a conclusion of this thesis.
