The Research About The Gelao Women's Dowry Change Since The Founding

Gelao nationality in history is distribution in the south of the Yangtze River and south of the Five Ridges area,known as the "Pu" "Liao",as one of the ethnic minorities in South China,Gelao nationality farming for a living.In this research,the author took a Gelao nationality village in northern part of Guizhou province as the field point,to investigate the function and symbolic significance of the dowry after the founding of the people's Republic of China in this village,from the changes of the dowry,analyze the reasons of change.This paper is divided into eight parts,the first chapter is the introduction,the main topics of the reasons,the relevant research and research methods are introduced.The second chapter gives a detailed introduction to the natural conditions,the human environment,the current economic development and the traditional marriage customs and etiquette of Gelao nationality of Longtan village.The third chapter,the fourth chapter and the fifth chapter in the first time after 1949 first time order in 1977,1978to1999,century since 2000,respectively for each period in the Longtan village dowry and change for the corresponding record and research.The sixth chapter describes the the Gelao women who management and use their dowry.The seventh chapter studies the symbolic significance and function changes of the dowry in Longtan Village.The eighth chapter is from the macro,meso and micro three angles,analyzes the reasons for the dowry since the founding of Longtan village occurs changes,that in addition to the impact of national policy and economic environment,local marriage customs,tourism development,personal cultural level,employment choice are all important factors in the change.
