Mrs.Peter Rabbit, written by American writer Thornton W.Burgess and first published by Little,Brown & Co.in 1919,belongs to children's literature with children as the main readers.Children's literature, with concise language and vivid expression,is different from adult literature and is easy to be understood. In recent years, with the introduction of foreign children's literature,we have strengthened the research on translation of children's literature.“Child-centered” translation concept has been deeply rooted in people's hearts and the translation is also much closer to children's lives.According to Katharina Reiss' s text typology theory, the text type determines translation strategy and mode of translating. In 1960 s,Reiss put forward the text typology theory. She divided the text into three types, namely, the expressive type, informative type and operative type. The expressive type organizes the content with artistic methods,so that the text has the characteristics of creativity and aesthetics.“Identification” strategy needs to be used when the expressive texts are translated,so as to comply with the ideological content and language style of the original text. This paper studies the translation and analyzes how to use the “identification” method in the process of translating the expressive text. The conclusion is that “identification” method plays an important role in the translation of expressive text. The translation report includes four parts. The first part is the task description;the second part is process description which includes pre-translation preparation, process of translation and post-translation management;the third part is the main body of the paper which describes the application of identification translation in the translation of expressive text from phonetic, lexical, syntactic and textual aspects;and the fourth part is conclusion, including the major findings, limitations and suggestions.
