In recent years,president Xi has made speeches on serious diplomatic occasions,encouraging people to spread Chinese culture in the whole world.In addition,in 2017,Chinese Ministry of Education promulgates the latest handbook of College English Teaching,in which the requirements of College English Teaching are put forward: College English Teaching should take the English actual use as orientation and focus on cultivating students' ability to use English.Meanwhile,students' intercultural awareness was also encouraged to cultivate so as to improve the students' sociolinguistic competence and intercultural competence.What's more,it is emphasized that it's useful for undergraduates to learn and use English in order to have a better understanding of the excellent culture and civilization of the world.In addition,learning and using English is beneficial to enhance country's power of Chinese,to spread the Chinese culture effectively and to improve the national soft power.Besides,the translation items in CET-4 and CET-6 are designed to check students' understanding of the Chinese culture and ability of translating some materials about Chinese culture.Obviously,it is urgent to enhance students' Chinese culture awareness and cultivate their ability of introducing native culture in English in college English teaching.Based on the present situation,the research was conducted to investigate “Chinese Culture Aphasia”in CET and the status quo of inputting Chinese culture by teachers in CET and language output of Chinese culture in English of non-English majors in college English class of Lanzhou University of Technology.Besides,the main reasons of the existence of “Chinese Cultural Aphasia(CCA)” among students are analyzed based on the theory of Krashen's Input Hypothesis and Swain's Output Hypothesis.And two questionnaires and two semi-structural interviews are adopted as data collection instruments for the analysis in this study.In addition,SPSS23.0 is employed to analyze statistical data.The results are as follows:(1)The results show that the phenomenon of “Chinese Cultural Aphasia(CCA)” does exist in college English class of Lanzhou University of Technology.In other words,the students' ability of expressing Chinese culture in English is inadequate.(2)The main reasons of Chinese Cultural Aphasia in college English Teaching can be illustrated as follows: firstly,teachers are lack of deep understanding of the phenomenon of CCA and the knowledge of Chinese culture.Secondly,college English class teaching is lack of Chinese culture input in English.Thirdly,the students spent full energy and time indealing with examination instead of being culturally-trained,etc..
