As we all know,in the 1950 s and 1960 s,by the cold war and the political factors of the Southeast Asian countries,Southeast Asian Chinese education has been subject to varying degrees of restrictions on government,to suppress,or even banned.Since the 1980 s,under the influence of internal and external factors,Southeast Asian Chinese education began to recover and transfer.Especially after entering the 1990 s,the Southeast Asian Chinese education developed more quickly.What is more gratifying is that the first of the Southeast Asian Chinese Language Teaching Convention was held in Singapore in 1995.It let ten Southeast Asian nations gather and discuss the way to promote holistic development of the Southeast Asian Chinese language education.The Southeast Asian Chinese Language Teaching Convention leads Chinese education and oversea Chinese issue to become no more sensitive.Particularly this regional organization let Southeast Asia Chinese be more confident and determined to develop Chinese education.It not only helps Chinese identity getting stronger but also makes excellent foundation of the further regional integration for Southeast Asian Chinese education.The all previous conference theme of the seminar and main issues reflects the latest situation and problem in the development of Chinese education.Therefore,this article will take the Southeast Asia Chinese Language Teaching Convention as the perspective to research the regional integration of Southeast Asian Chinese education.On the basis of the previous symposium on materials to analyze the development of Chinese Education nearly 20 years.This article will also research the important role that the Southeast Asia Chinese Language Teaching Convention plays and the existing problem that it faces.
